ARMENIAN YOUTH FEDERATION

The purpose of the Armenian Youth Federation is to bring Armenian youth together nationwide to foster fraternal spirit and dedication through educational, political, athletic, social and cultural activities, so that they may later continue to work for the Armenian Cause as members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (the parent organization), and affiliated community organizations.

Over seventy years of organizational structure and evolution bring the AYF into the twenty-first century, prepared to undertake the critical issues facing Armenians today.

 

Today, the Chicago AYF, together with the Chicago “Ararat” Junior Chapter are actively pursuing these goals, through activities such as educational seminars on the local, national and international levels, sponsorship of Camp Haiastan summer youth camp and national athletic competitions.

The Chicago “Ararat” Chapter was formed by the legendary General Karekin Nejdeh in the year 1933.
